pricevaries is a public site. Browsing discounts, searching games, opening a game page and using "My price" require no sign-up.

Optional sign-up, no password

There is an optional sign-up, done through a link sent to your email. No password is created or stored, because the site uses no passwords. Signing up only serves to save games and configure alerts.

What personal data we keep

The only personal data stored is your email, along with the games you saved and your alert preferences.

Screenshots are never received or stored

If you attach a screenshot in "My price", the image is not uploaded anywhere. The reading happens inside your browser and only the extracted text is sent with the report.

Price reports

The value you report is stored to build the public statistic for that item. Without an account, the report is stored anonymously.

Cookies

We use no tracking or advertising cookies. We store your language choice and, if you sign in, your session.

Deletion

Anyone who signs up can request deletion of the account and of their reports through the channel listed in the project repository.

Where prices come from

Prices come from automated observations of public storefronts, with the date and time of each reading. They are product information, not people's data.
